For the topping, mix the flour, brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter in a medium bowl until well combined. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the apples.
Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
While the cake bakes, prepare the glaze by combining the brown sugar, apple cider, and butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the butter melts.
Drizzle the warm glaze over the cake once baked. Serve warm or at room temperature.
